ETHAN SIMPSON

I'm Ethan, a junior in Otis College of Art and Design. I've worked in the Digital Media department with a focus in the animation industry. Here, I've found a love for painting landscapes and background environments. I work hard to polish my painting skills through landscape studies and environmental concept design projects, experimenting with solid composition and variations in color palette. This has helped me strengthen my critical thinking skills, allowing me to see elements in art that are usually taken for granted.

I've also had a lot of practice in both 2D and 3D animation, along with modeling, staging and animating in Maya. Doing this has also given me experience in video editing and cinematography.

My first year in digital media was overwhelming and humbling, but also taught me how quickly I can grow when I put in the effort. Since then, I've been growing noticeably with each passing week as I absorb whatever lessons I can in design. Thanks for visiting!
